Annual Conference 2013

Innovation and research in the Danube Region

On 7th – 8th of November 2013, our annual meeting took place at the University for Agriculture and Life Sciences (USAMV) in Cluj-Napoca in Romania. About 100 guests participated in the conference, among them numerous rectors and other representatives of the 56 member universities. From 2014 on, eleven new members will join our Network. The new memberships were approved during the DRC General Assembly.

The event included several presentations and discussions that were primarily focused on research and innovation in the Danube Region. Top-ranking scientists and politicians attended the conference, as for example, Dacian Ciolos, Commissionaire for Agriculture and Rural Development.

This year the DRC celebrates its 30th anniversary. Therefore, we prepared a special anniversary publication. The main focus of this brochure is on the DRC Summer School that in 2013 took place for the 10th time.
